Well, I'm active duty Air Force, and I'm against the war, and a registered Republican.

We never should have gone into Iraq, but now that we're so deep into it, we really can't just up and leave. What needs to be done is to tell the Iraqi government that we're leaving soon, like within the next 2 years, and that they need to get their shit together.

My personal belief is that the Iraqi military/police aren't getting the job done because we're there to do it for them. If they knew we were leaving, maybe they would take their job a little more seriously.

And if in 2 years they still don't feel like doing the job properly....well, then I guess we pull out, and "test" some of our older warheads that are nearing the end of their shelf life. Just a thought. Or maybe pull out, tell Israel that Iraq and Iran was talking smack, and let them clean up the mess. Either way would be effective.

i do believe that what u said is true, we do need o put more presure on the iraqi gov't so that we can get outta their hair and they can start controling stuff
