4 re 8's or 2 10" 187's?

what would get louder in a reg cab truck. 4 re 8's sealed with 0.4ft for each of them or 2 10" 187's with about 0.8 each? or ONE 10" LI with about 1-1.5ft? Also, does anyone know if incriminator is going to come out with an 8? Also, I want to stay away from ported because i like my music to play rap thats low, and then i might pop in a beach boys CD, so i like the bass tight.

hey james u have 8 8's correct? do they get low? can they play accurately, and do u think that 4 of them in my truck would get loud? like enough to do the hair trick? thanks

Matt has 8 RE8's as well but he is using 4 Double Shots for P4S in a Scion and he is pulling mid 150's on new TL mic!!!

It's all install but 4 RE8's will be **** near impossible to do that!

can your 8 8's compete with a w7? Somewhere i heard that 2 10" 187's in a sealed box did 147db. it was on this board. that sounds like it would do a hair trick to me?

I have them in sealed .325 ft3 chambers and it sounds good.. its not SO loud, but its definitely tight and responsive.

Lemme know if you have any questions. Also, if you have a full size chevy or gmc, check out the A/V section of fullsizechevy.com. there are a bunch of guys over there with some nice installs of RE8s in a regular cab.

i have 5 re 8's in a ported box in my truck

the ports fire toward the ceiling..3 of them just inches from my ears(5 total since each is sealed in its own ported chamber

my ears hurt after about 2 mins of play on the right song and my mirrors become rather hilarious..,cant use them...

i think my box could be better, i want more punchy bass with less ear pain(i would like to keep most of my hearing)...it might have something to do with the ports very close to my ears....

my thinking for buying them was that i can put more watts to more subs with the least amount of room(std truck) as compared to 10's or bigger. Could it be better, Yes, but for what i had to work with(very small mounting depth and space) and what i payed it came out pretty good since it sounds awsome on stuff other then rap.

but i can be heard a block away...my cousin heard me before he seen me hahahahah
