Does anybody have a link or some designs for 4" aero ported boxes at say 1.75 and 2 cu using 1 and or 2 4" aero ports. Its going to be for a DC level 4 10" sub. I am thinking 32,33 or 34 Hz.. Was getting prices but I think I want to take on the challenge.. If it does not work out I will buy one from one of the builders.

TIA, Jeff

yes went there but it does not show me dimensions for the box at all. Trying to find the proper dim for the box and also find out discplacement for the sub and 1 or 2 4" aero ports. Also should I have the ports facing rear also like the woofer or coming out the side?

one of the big issues with aeroports in that small of a box is that unless you side port them...you almost always have to put a 90 in there to bend the port. I'm building one right now 2.5 net with 2 4" ports.

I was just told about using 90 degree elbow so that frees up some space.. They do not have to face rear like the sub just thought that would look cool.. Also any adj over 1 to 2 ports?

yes when going from 1 to 2 ports, in order to keep the same tuning the ports get quite a bit longer.

Volume of Box in Cubic Feet: 2

Tuning frequency 32

Port diameter 4

Number of Ports 1

Straight Length Port required 13.61

Flare Length Port required 14.61

Going flared so if I could get some dimensions that would be cool. Can you also take into displacement also if you send me dimensions.

measure the available space you have in your car then figure the shortest ports you can run with tuning you want which will probably be the single 4" aero. then figure out the measurements for the box. what car is this going in? ports back is usely loudest and subs forward but it depends on the car.

Going in the jetta in my avatar.. trunk is 40*40 and the opening is 17"*36 but I am sure I can drop the rear seats and get it in that way easier. So port facing the cab coming out of the rear will be the best?

here's a sneak peak of an aeroport box that i'm working on right now. not quite finished with the ports yet

Try sub forwar/port side or sub forward/port forward. If that doesn't work, then you can always rotate the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Seeing the pic helps.. You take into account the length of the 90 degree also correct? If so how do you measure the inside or outside or center length of the elbow?

i just took a string and laid it right down the center of the bend and then measured the string.
