Really depends on the car. Most of the Caprices around here have it firing into the cabin.
You could always do a bandpass and fire it straight into the cabin and completely seal it off.

Caprices trunks are sealed off. The seats don't fold down, and there is NO hole into the cabin. You can however cut quite a bit of metal out of the rear deck...

It's MUCH better to fire towards the tail lights in caprices... I've installed at least 50 systems in boxes and bubbles. Second best is firing at the trunk lid, but that's only if it's the only way it will fit (like with a pair of 18's).

Yeah, all the ones have a hole cut through with a bunch of mids and highs on the trim piece.

You cant really tell the bass because they have an assload of horns with no crossovers distorting to hell.

For flat response, large enclosure. For peaky response with emphasis on SPL, small boxes and lots of power.
