4 JL 8w1 subs?

I've got an infiniti G35 that I want to add some subwoofers to. I use to have just a single JL 10w3 powered by a jl 500/1 amp whihc sounded pretty good but there was something to be desired from it. I ened up having to sell that setup a while back but now that I have the money I'd like to do something to my car audio again.

I was thinking of putting in 4 JL 8w1 subs, I'm not sure on the amp yet but I wanted to know if this would sound better than the one 10w3 or even 2 10w3's.

I'm mainly looking for SQ but I want something that hits hard as well. I'm limited to about $1200 which would include subs, amp and enclosure. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to achieve what Im looking for or if my current idea will allow me to achieve my goals?

Look at sundown audio e8's. I have heard good things, and at 80 bucks a piece ya cant go wrong.

You could do 2 or 3 DD 1508s on an AQ 2200D for that money, and although its not exactly SQ it would get silly loud.

For 1200 you could do a Mag v4, an SAZ 1000, and have money left over for a nice 2 channel and comps.

Sundown E8's. I just ordered 3. I would do 8w3v3's before the 8w1's for SQ. Ebay has some 8w3v2's and 8w6's new. ID8's would sound good too. You should be able to fit 4 of them in like 1.2^3 sealed.
