4 hc800s?

Additionally, so you understand, If you hook up a yellow top in the back with the stock batt in the front and no isolator, you just wasted your money, because the front battery will discharge the yellow top until its no better than the stock batt.

well you have 4 batteries hat are basically identical the (charge and discharge the same), the stock battery is more than likely not close to the 800's, yu can run into issues with mismatchig batteries. it has been discussed many times, I am sure a simple search will enlighten you with more detail. is short by mixing you put a lot if strain on your entire electrical system, and the longevity can be compromised. just my $0.02
i ran a stock under the hood with 2 2400 kinetiks in the rear for almost 2 years NOT isolated with NO problems but if they say there is a problem with mixed batteries, then there is a problem with mixed batteries. but i would still say the whole point of the isolator is made for when your car is off and bumping and NOT because of people running mixed batteries......just my $0.02 as well.

Not that there would be a problem, just that your kinetics might as well have been the same as your stock batts.

so my isolator theory would be correct then?
Depends on your goal I guess, it can be used for both purposes. Personally I don't think its a good idea to pay 2-3x as much for a better battery when you are just going to discharge it to the same level as your stock batteries. But its up to you.

how ya figure? thats exactly what happens, If all your batteries are identical you don't have a problem. If not, one discharges the other. Thats just how it works, there is no not really about it.
with rereading your other ost along with this I digress. Although there are other advantages one of which I put as priority even if I have all identical batteries, is being able to start your car after beating the hell out of your system while it is off.

Is an isolator even going to matter in a daily driven vehicle? The alternator is going to charge the batts anyway right?
Somewhat, yes. But that poses another problem, If every time you let your car sit every night, in the morning when you turn your car on, your alternator trying to recharge the discharged batteries could fry your alternator, If not, Remember that every time a battery is discharged it becomes more difficult to charge. So if you are depleting your expensive batteries every night, you are going to end up with shit batteries alot quicker than if you had an isolator. plus, it's not that easy for your alternator to charge 4 half depleted batteries. It may take quite a bit of time to get them back up to high levels even with the audioz off.

So bassically in a nut shell more batteries without an isolator will still be better than just the single stock battery, But it's like running a blue ray player on a standard definition TV.

Simply, If your running high performance batteries with a stock batt, you'll never get the best performance without an isolator.

So will the battery(s) completely discharge? If so, why?
No not initially, but think, each time the battery gets weaker due to discharge, each will not charge as much, meaning very quickly you can end up with 5 dead batteries. (I mean i'm exadgerating a bit when i say quickly) no complete discharge wouldn't be common, though it's possible if your batteries degrade to that point

im curious, all of these posts from you, you are obviously making a claim that you know what youre talking about, so how IN THE LIVING FUCK did you come up with that build with those JL subs? im real curious to hear this one.

im lost as **** lol
Noted: Cliffs...

When 2 charged sources are unequal current will flow from the higher charge to the lower charge until they are relatively equal charge. So If you hook up an expensive battery in line with a stock one, overnight the stock battery will discharge the expensive one to the same level as the stock.

Another problem is that if you play your music with your engine not running your audio system can drain every ounce of power until your car won't start.

An isolator fixes both of these problems by separating your car's ignition charging system with it's Audio charging system
