would it be ok to run one under the hood? also 3 in the trunk i can get 4 of them for 240? or should i leave my stock batt under hood and put all 4 in trunk? im running around 3krms any help is appreciatd thanks

should sound pretty good. think of it this way on the batteries. if you run the stock under the hood, it can concentrate on starting your call, lights, etc while the 4 in the rear concentrate on the system itself. removing that stock will put extra pressure on the kinetiks which will of course, result in lower voltage on your amp which equals less power and more abuse to the amp. good luck with everything.

I personally would isolate the stock from the 800's if you are going to leave the stock in.

i agree, but i guess i was simply stating that the extra stock would come in handy to be used as a 5th battery.

isnt isolating only for when youre running your system with the car off? if not, then please explain because thats the way ive always understood it.

Isolating is primarily to keep your batteries from discharging when the car is off. If you have 2 batteries with different charges, the one with the lesser charge will drain the other and so on. otherwise the more batteries doing any one particular thing, the better.

And yes, as you hinted at, it will also let you run the entire audio battery out without killing the car starting battery.

well you have 4 batteries hat are basically identical the (charge and discharge the same), the stock battery is more than likely not close to the 800's, yu can run into issues with mismatchig batteries. it has been discussed many times, I am sure a simple search will enlighten you with more detail. is short by mixing you put a lot if strain on your entire electrical system, and the longevity can be compromised. just my $0.02
