4 guage on Big 3?

Hey guys about to do the big three on my little civic and its really difficult to get 1/0 guage under the hood, I was wondering will i be ok with 4 guage in short runs, maybe 3 feet at most with a system that will mostly be playing about 800-900 watts rms and never see more than 1400 rms? I am planning on upgradding to a 170 ho alt later and a kinetec battery

That would be fine. Most stock electrical systems can handle 1500 watts pretty easy. You will be fine.
