4 guage ok for SAE-1200?

i think you'll be fine with that just for that 1 amp but just guessing here you probably have a highs amp too. it'll be easier and probably cheaper just to get the 0 gauge fleks dual amp kit.

They have 0 gauge terminals for a reason. I wouldn't recommend 4 gauge on that amp as it makes a bunch of power.. I should know, I had to swap out my sisters 4 gauge for the same amp.

The amp has 150 amps worth of fusing, so with that much power you BETTER be doing 0 gauge. She kept blowing fuses because of all the current trying to go through that tiny wire. Swapped out to 0 gauge and a 150a fuse, haven't had problems since.

FYI. Length of the run determines minimum wire sizing.
Thanks. Didnt really think about that. Kinda new if you cant tell. lol. I would say it would be a maximum of 12 ft. I might just try and build my own install kit and see if it turns out to be any cheaper.

Get the 1/0, best and safest way to go.

4 gauge isnt exactly along the lines of tiny my friend

I always run 1/0 in my cars no matter what I run, unless I run multiple runs of 1/0... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
