4 cu. ft at 30Hz PLEASE!

yeah, check out kpozr's thread on a box build for ARMY-KILLA (which ended up being scrapped, and a new box for himself).
i came up with this for him:

do the 14" x 42" side facing up with the subs on that panel.

or you can play with this site:

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp?Ew=41&Eh=14&Dia=6&Xmax=15&Vd=.08&NumW=2&Vb=4&Fb=30&Qts=&Vas=&Fs=&CE=0

but it seems to think that with that the proper xmax value (11.5 mm for your drivers) you only need a 2.75" wide port. it might be right, but i'd go with more (4"+ wide), that's why in the link i have entered 15mm xmax, so it makes the port bigger. i guess the link and the pic of the plans i threw together for kpozr are pretty much identical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and they both will save you a lot of leg room compared to a 19" depth like you originally mentioned.

On the link where does it get the 12.5" height from if it is supposed to be 14"?? Should i just ignore the 12.5" measurement and change it to 14"??

Board Dimensions and Quantity

Color Count Width Height

Top and Bottom 2 41 inches 19.75 inches

Red 1 36.25 inches 12.5 inches

Yellow 1 19 inches 12.5 inches

Black 1 39.5 inches 12.5 inches

Green 1 19.75 inches 12.5 inches

Teal 1 14.25 inches 12.5 inches

Violet 1 11.25 inches 12.5 inches

External Dimensions: 41 wide x 14 tall x 19.75 deep

because the top and bottom piece are the full 41" x 19.75" all the side pieces will by 12.5" tall (14" minus 3/4" for the top thickness minus 3/4" for the bottom thickness). just take a look at the front baffle of the box drawn in paint and you should see what i mean.

OK got it pretty much done today. Just have to cut out the holes for the subs, put the back on, finish sealing it up, and carpet it and it'll be done.

Here she is, all done except for carpet, im going to find some pretty soon. Did have a litttle trouble with one of the holes, cut it a little too big but its not a problem and still seals up fine.

Yes its mdf, it wont flex its strong enough for my fat *** to sit on w/o flexing. Dont have a router, i used a jigsaw but its a pos, and i made hole one 2/16 bigger b/c i read my measurements wrong. *It's all good. Good enough for my 1st box and better than a bought sealed one. Carpeted some today still need 2 do side panels and trim it up, wasnt motivated today, it was 94 degrees with 90% humidity!

I made 2 blocks to space it so it will sit level, im going to cover them in the same fabric, wont even notice they r there. i didnt want to cut the box so it would fit the floor, i would prolly screw it up. lol

The box is done! Just have to run all my wires for my amp and put it in. Sometime next week hopefully.

- trim to cover seams, going to be replaced with a diamond plate sheet soon hopefully. Have a way to keep it from rattling.
