can you sa boom??? i can.

I've been fantasizing about putting a crapload of subs into a back of a van since my parents have driven their ford E250 w/ a 351 in it.. only problem i can think of is the sides will bow out w/ that much bass.. maybe even the windows will blow out w/ 5 friggin brahmas.

spooge...

there's no way to drive those monsters with a stock electrical system, even if you put 20 yellow top batteries in there.

Think of it this way: Each sub will need a little more than 1000w RMS to perform at its peak, so you'll need about 6kw RMS (let's say, for the sake of argument 5 JBL 1200.1's as an example). Each 1200.1 draws 90 amps from the electrical system in two ohm configuration to push its max power. SOOO You're looking at 450 amps of current draw to drive those beasts to full potential....do you see where this is headed?

If you have a nice deep wallet and can afford to fabricate a custom harness for 3 150 amp alternators (by the way, these are about $200 each), about 50ft of 1/0awg wire ($2/ft) and want to waste your time building, tuning and perfecting a box for subs you don't plan to keep, I say go for it!

Hey khi ,

just a question how much are you gunna sell the brahmas for? i might be intredsted in buyign 1 or 2 of them most likely 1 tho cus I dont have much room for 2 of those beasts in my car unless i build a wall which could be some fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, but nways get back to me on the prices for them......

thanks...

haha yeah i thought of that..

im getting 4 200 amp alternators......2 of which are being lent by an uncle and 2 from a local shop. the wire, will not be a problem as i have a whole spindle of 1/0 wire in my basement....as for the box, yeah, thats gonna be a mission, but im up for it.!!
