4 awg CCA enough?

Never dealt w/ cca in all my years in ca. Would some Cadence cca 4awg be enough for my Power Acoustik a2400db. Amp actually puts out roughly 1300 rms@ 1ohm (guestimate). The amp has a 4 awg input, the wire will be about 13ft long. This will be replacing ofc 2awg.

Why I want to downgrade:

A month or 2 back I had an issue with my rearview falling off and taking a chunk of glass w/ it, so I HAVE to simmer down my stereo in fear of it happening again. New windshield has been installed and the rv has been fine thus far. I already sold my 15's and am currently running only 1 of my 2 2007 type r's @ 2 ohm. I'll be hooking the other one up (Will then be at a 1ohm load) since it's already in the box, but the amp will be dialed down. Just don't see the point of having both back there with only 1 hooked up. Eventually I plan on 1 sa12 or a 2012 Type r.

So would it be enough?

Negative. 4g CCA is about the same as 8g OFC -- in other words it will handle around 80-100A. Do yourself a favor and just get the 4g OFC -- it's only like a buck 50 a foot so it's not that expensive. I see what you mean with going over kill on the sub stage, but do yourself a favor and ALWAYS go overkill on your electrical. Not only is it safer but your system will perform better and it's one less bottleneck to worry about

Seems like I should just stick with the 2awg and buy reducers for the amp (Distro'd currently). From a price standpoint that seems to make the most sense and it'll keep me from having to reroute everything again.

That's how it works man...I usually just have people go and buy 1/0 CCA cause it will handle 2500-3000 no problem and it's dirt cheap, plus knu makes some 0g reducers anyways so it's not even a big deal lol
