4 8" W7's

Hey everybody, so I want to get 4 JL Audio 8" W7 but have some questions. How do I wire 4 3 ohm subs!?!? Also, can these be ran off of a monoblock? Do you guys have any suggestions on amps for these subs?

None, yet. I haven't purchased them but was planning on doing it today or tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions on amps?

The box i'm looking at right now is this (link). I would rather have a ported box though.

As for the enclosure, I would think ported would be a better option, but you may have to lift your seat some to make it work fully.

I'm in the Woodlands area, and electrical, I have 2 optoma yellow top batteries and looking into getting a ho alternator

Down by Huston, nice to place to live/visit.

The yellow tops are not as good as they used to be, but for your application they may do just fine.

If you get an alt, then you will likely be fine with an amplifier that is ok at 0.5 ohm and just wire your subs to .75.

Maybe get a solid 2k rms @ 1 ohm and set it correctly and you should be fine.

Is there a reason you want the jl's? they are a good sub but man are they pricey. they are 445.00 at sonic electronics.

At 1 ohm it's at 2250, you think at .75 they can handle it?

Either of the two mentioned are good amps. I have the aq/ sq 2200d and I love it. Remember you can always turn it down.

Edit, I thought you meant to power 4-8's or 1- 12. I wouldn't run both either go one way or the other.
