I just got 3 hours into my box tonight due to a long *** golf tournament holding me off. Otherwise heres the specs and my plans for it:

sanded/rounded ports

45's in the corners

4.5 cubic feet @ 32hz

countersink

cant decide to carpet or give it a nice glossy black paint job..give me some ideas as to what is less expensive/easier.

I will have pics of the build up tomorrow for sure.

You'll spend hours on perfecting a glossy paint job and then worry about dinging it up. I vote carpet...it just blends much better with stock interiors.

Thats what i thought about paint. so i will probably end up with carpet. how much does carpet usually cost and where do you get it? this is the first box that i actually care about how it looks. Its my 4th.

anyways the SSD15 is comming in thursday at latest so for now im gonna be putting my type e 12 in just for shits n giggles.

You've got me motivated. I'll get those going right now.

In the mean time, I kinda decided to get the job don faster and skip out of the 45's...too much work for my lazy self. But it did round off all the port ends and will be smoothing out the box soon enough and adding the second baffle + flush mounting once the SSD gets here (thursday at the latest).

on with the lid and getting the cutout ready

decided to throw the E in it for 1-3days. performs terrible in this box but i didnt expect anything good.

Ill be finishing it off and such once the sub comes in and ill have more pics ready.

as far as im concerned, this is a great build for my 4th one ever.

Good lookin build, havent messed with an SSD yet but 4.5 seems kinda big for 1 15. Are you low on power or jus wanting it that big?

well i want an amp that puts out clean rated rms power but i dont have a lot of money. so yes, probably 600-800wrms total is all its getting. So i figure 4.5 should help with efficiency.

That is a big box without any support. does it have a double baffle? I would consider adding some bracing in there.

double baffle is comming once the sub comes on thursday. plus ill be adding a third baffle to flush mount with.
