4 12'' or 1 18'' which will be louder

Okay guys, i was either going to go with my budget build, since i already have 2, 12'' Type R's and just buy two more since these are so cheap. But i seen a video of a guy with a 18'' moving an aluminum roof so i was wondering which would be louder??? i have a sundown saz 3000d so power is not an issue, but 3k to one 18 or i drop it down to .5 ohm and push 4 12'' and give them 1k apiece,...what do you think!?

box? i will using a TCAAB tuned to 35'' with 2 inverted and 2 inverted for the start just to see how things work out. 18 would be slott ports with 6 or more cubes

I like single sub setups easier to install and trouble shoot if anything goes wrong. In multiple sub setups you could be running a blown 12 and have no idea for a while if ever lol. should u say that about 2 15s running daily to? or no? i was thinkin 2 15s or a single 18..got like 3k watts..

i think 2 is a little easier to notice if it blown as opposed to 4

which one would be better for putting up numbers on TL tho? b/c where i live 4 12'' and 1 18'' is the same class...or is that all box dependant?

imo the 4 12's will be louder considering that 30 more inches of cone area! but ya the 18 is simpiler!

but louder doesnt always mean better on the TL right?
