for spl or sql?no one on the forum seems so give enough info.
if u like the lowes the get an 18. i have sdc2.5 15s because they would fit best in my golf. if u want spl get what has the most conarea. single big subs will be louder than smaller single subs.
what amp do u have? if u have just one amp and u are saying 3 15s then u r going to have to wire them funny and u will either get a little more or a little less power depending on the voice coils and how you wire it.
we need to know
what amp or amps do u have?
do u have enough electrical to support your amp?
what kind of car is this going in? fitting the sub in might be easy but getting a 30cuft box wont be.
oomeskoo? what is wrong with what i said?
all i can say is wow.haha and this is coming from some one that has type Rs!now that is somthing to laugh about it!
wrong. if you were closer, i'de throw down a few bills to bet i could get a 6.5" sub playing just as low as an 18" sub.if u like the lowes the get an 18
How about a small driver that has a huge xmax? SPL = sound pressure level. To have pressure, you need to displace air. Cone area is only a part of this situation. Would you rather have an 18" sub with a 12mm xmax or a 12" sub with a 30mm xmax? I'de take the 12"if u want spl get what has the most conarea
read what i just said about xmax.single big subs will be louder than smaller single subs.
.
funny?if u have just one amp and u are saying 3 15s then u r going to have to wire them funny
What is there to explain? In the same truck on the same power (the two setups i had before my current setup), the Type-R's outperformed the Re SX's (in terms of SPL. the SX's sounded a wee bit better)Plz explain
the 4 12's will do mid 140's daily easy"Yes. SPL"i was talking to the guy with the type Rs
he is not for spl if that is a pic of his set up. and if he is for sql he made a very por choice by getter the pioneer preimers
no joke at all//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I hope that was a joke.
I want to meter well.
Bottom line.
being loud to the ear and being loud on a meter are very different situations, my friend.larger xmas makes a difference but no. the largers Xmas does not make it louder. look at the worlds loudest sub
there are a ton of them."You are ignoring things such as amp stability and impedence rise. In some cases, you can gain quite a bit out of an amplifier with wiring like this."
this is why i said you need to know what amp they have. do u know of any amps that says they are stable at 1.3 ohm?
larger xmas makes a difference but no. the largers Xmas does not make it louder. look at the worlds loudest sub. has around 18cm xmas
