4.0@33 box plan

still need one other number to size.

one would be

Width= 39.00

Height= 14.00

Depth= 19.50

another would be

Width= 39.00

Height= 20.00

Depth= 16.25

depending on available height

Width= 39.00

Height= 14.00

Depth= 19.50

I'm pretty sure that would work. I'm gonna go get exact measurements around lunch time, i'm at work right now. But i'm pretty positive that those dimensions would work fine.

I have a good 42 inches on width, depth is about 23-24 inches, and my current box height is 14 and it could handle 1 or 2 more inches.

So.. my max dimensions are:

Width- 42 inches

Depth- 23-24 inches

Height- 15-16 inches

The subs are RE SX subs, just incase you needed to know that.

Here you go, this assuems a driver displamnet around .5 cu/total

If you want detailed plan let me know:

Desired Net Volume: 4 cu/ft

Desired Box Width: 40 inches

Desired BoxHeight: 15 inches

Desired Tuning Freq: 33 Hz

SQ Vent Width: 3.5 inches

Wood Thickness: 0.75 inches

Output:

Width= 40.00 inches

Height= 15.00 inches

Depth= 18.75 inches

Port Length= 20.31 inches

Driver Volume= 4.51 cu/ft

Port Area= 47.25 sq/in

Box Cutts: X Y #

Top / Bottom 40.00 18.75 2

Back 40.00 13.50 1

Face 35.75 13.50 1

P side 18.00 13.50 1

O side 17.25 13.50 1

Port1 13.75 13.50 1

Port2 ~2.50 13.50 1

i'd shoot for more port area, since he's got plenty of space to work with.

something like this should be plenty:

that would work, those plans are pretty close too. the program I made pays more attention to internal volume . The site seems to round and make assumptions on size, but 9 times out of 10 it works out;)

well, it only makes you cut pieces to within 1/4"

but i am positive that it is NEVER of by enough to sound audibly different.

completely agreed, like I said 9 time out of 10 it works. Sometimes it does screwy stuff with the sizes cutts, thats why I built a program for myself;)

yeah, if it's a straight port w/no bend, it sometimes will change the box dimensions to achieve the correct volume/tuning/and get the port width that it thinks you need.

also it really likes to make labyrinth ports.

mind hooking me up with the program you wrote?

i've set up some decent excel worksheets, but far from universal.

i'll send you a PM w/my e-mail.
