I have an american bass xd3000, i think i may be gonna go a different route on my amp situation. If someone has opinions, i would like to stay with american bass but can't find any kind of pricing on their amps anywhere........reason i would like to stay with them is that i just got a 4 channel so my ish would match......stupid i know.

but list what amps i could come across in this price range used and new please.....i am looking around the classifieds as we speak as well. Just to get a perspective on different prices. I will be sending my DD 9512G off for a recone in a couple of days and when it comes back i will be looking into getting a different amp if the XD3000 doesn't do what i want.

closest you will get is orion 2500d's, kicker 2500.1 (for a few more $ prolly), ia 20.1, powerbass xa3000d, autotek MM3000.1, maybe an american bass 150.1, crossfire 2000d

there are more but i cant think of them off the top of my brain, not many tho. what resistance you need it at?

Well resistance i guess won't really matter......i could just get the coils to the ohm load i need while they do the recone on the 12.

Anyone got any kind of pricesheets on some of these top of the line amps.....

i heard people running orion 2500ds at .5 ohms daily and getting more than 3kw outta them. not sure if you have to do any internal mods to it for it to be reliable tho..

kicker over anything else suggested.

get a kx (or a zx if its cheap enough). they're efficent as hell, take day by day abuse running under rated imp. even off 11.5v-12v doing heavy playing up to an hour at a time before getting hot...... off semi stock electrical..... and are sexy. nough said.

i'm telling you, you will hear a differance. Not only will the kicker probly sound cleaner and louder (since those MA audio's are very close to clipping when doing full power) but you electrical will suffer much more if you try and pull the same power but by doing so horribly less efficently.

you get what you pay for, you go cheap, you're gonan get cheap results. get the kicker. trust me the people who have been doing this shit for years and already made the mistake of buying shitty amps before...end of story
