38hz ssf?

i have a mtx thunder 421d and i have a box tuned to 38hz with a 12in comp. kicker. i do not think this amp has a sub sonic filter. do i need a lower tuned box and if so can any one help with dems?

I think if you plan on playing low bass notes, it will hurt your subs. Stay away from "late night tip" and the like. Better tuning for daily driving is in low-mid 30s. I like 35 personally, but I have a ssf

So if your box was tuned at 40hz then what should you set the SSF at if you have it?

i think its 5-10 hz under wat ur box is tuned at IIRC but not under 20 hz, unless ur sub can do it...
