37°F out getting rdy to add MEKP to my usc resin. quick question

usc says 1% im thinking add 5 mils of mekp. does that sound right?

i have the usc Measure-Matic mixer and it has a 5 mil line at the bottom I could pour and measure the mekp in.

how bout it?

Just go by the instructions and add a couple extra just to be safe.Nothing like sanding tacky resin.

i have never measured out mekp...

keep squeezing it in until you are happy, stir it fast, apply it faster.

I never measure either...Just a couple good squeezes and I'm good to go.Always pick up an extra tube just cause I know I'm gonna need it sooner or later!

my first time ever working with glass was with the box i used to have in my explorer (i think its still on SI's web page), and we were glassing the inside of it. my afro kept getting stuck in the resin lol. finally i was kicked off of my own project.

First time i worked with glass we were doing side panels in bucky's van. midget and loyd were doing em and mixed the glass so hot i saw smoke lol. was dry in ~30 secs

make a test batch, use a little small amount of resin, maybe 4oz's and then add the correct amount of mkep per oz. add a few extra drops to compensate for the temperature. if possible get a heat lamp and have it over the area your working on.
