Shipping is on Microsoft's buck....Heres what you do. Go to bestbuy, and get the 2 year extended warranty. When it dies you drop it off and exchange it. Easier than sending it in, paying for shipping, and waiting to get it fixed.
they do pay for shipping but you must box it yourself. my brother in-law just had to send his in... turn around was 3 weeks.Xbox has quit paying for shipping to them and they dont send a box for u to put it in anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
most problems don't show up till after warranty. even if you get it fixed within warranty it can still go bad. it's not like they'll extend you warranty on a fixed 360. which is why that $4 fix comes in handy when you know exactly what's wrong with it.yea it's cheap to fix it. But, with the warrenty i have to ask is why you'd try? It's easier just to send it in and have it all fixed. Microsoft even gave me a extra full year on my warrenty this time.
thats true but on RROD you have a 3 year extension after the factory warrenty is gone. Easier to just send it in, If it was more than 4 years old I could see tearing it apart.most problems don't show up till after warranty. even if you get it fixed within warranty it can still go bad. it's not like they'll extend you warranty on a fixed 360. which is why that $4 fix comes in handy when you know exactly what's wrong with it.
