32 hours in the hospital FTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea I do it all the time.. I dont plan for it but if people call me up im not gonna say "i cant i have work tomorrow"... ive maybe said that 5 times out of 100... and one of those was the night before black friday

Well this is my first child, but I am going to adopt her two kids. So I have 3 really and do consider them to be mine.
But being this is my first the best tip I can give you is to be there for your woman. They need to be loved more than before. I did all the cleaning in the house and cooking and when she needed something I went and got it. Just be there for her in this trying time.

When the baby is born, just make sure you are patient. They do a lot of crying, well most do and certainly mine, lol! I have found myself getting very frustrated to the point I had to call my mom up to have her watch the baby because she would'nt stop fussing and I tried everything in the book. Sometimes they just need a mothers love. That and sometimes you need a moment to yourself. Besides that make sure you read up on formulas unless she breast feeds cause they can be picky with a baby's stomach. I suggest Nestle Good Start if she goes on formula.

Try and make sure your wife gets a baby shower of some sort. You will get all kinds of goody's and if it wasn't for our shower, we would be struggling right now. It is expensive having a baby and not gonna lie, we get WIC to help out with the baby and it has saved us a lot of money. Might want to try and check into that unless you make too much. Good thing for me I don't make that much and we have more than two kids, lol!

Best of luck and will pray for a healthy baby!
I hear that! Well our first ultrasound told us that she (the baby) is very healthy although she is a little on the small side. We are watching her weight vigorously. My gf was born premature at 1lb, 6 ozs., so that's our only fear. I've already bought all of the big stuff like furniture for the nursery. I still need to get a car seat and a stroller. I think my sisters and mother are planning a baby shower with her friends and family as we speak. We are in the process of moving in together too. I'm there for her, but she gets irritated by being around me. Her hormones are really out of whack. She's acts the same way with her father too. Either way, we are happy and excited to be new parents.

That is good news on the ultrasound, but those aren't always 100% accurate, remember that. Not trying to scare you, just informing.

Your g/f is very pretty and even though she was premature, I am sure they took good care of her as you would yours if she goes that route.

I still don't have all the furniture yet, lol! Well only thing I don't have is a dresser for her, so we are using my fiance's. Then she uses the closet, sucks, but we make due. Plus the crib is in our room because lack of space. I can't wait to buy a big enough house next year. Even though our 1200sqft apartment is nice and bigger than a lot of houses is only 2 bedrooms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So need something bigger with in the next couple years, hopefully this summer.

I hear you on the hormones, they will change and best thing to do is just agree with everything, haha! I know it hurts, but trust me on this one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Good luck and have fun!

Late Congrats?

We just had our little girl a week ago, 25 hours without sleep in the hospital. Good thing I work there and get special treatment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I wouldn't worry to much, just make sure your wife takes care of herself.

my wife was induced a week early because the growth was slow. My girl is tiny, 5lb. 11 ounces, but healthy as can be.
