I am who you think I am
I just wanna make sure I don't damage somethin.

I have a 30A relay on the remote turn-on wire.

So can I wire leds(about 10ft- draw is 1.6 amps) to the relay and be good to go?

And basically, I can hookup as much as 30A of draw to this thing without damaging the stereo?

i think he's wanting to hook up more things to his remote wire, so other things (amps, etc) turn on with the HU. the HU remote wire only can turn on so many things, so he wants to hook up a relay to it, so its able to power on more devices

Connect pin 85 of the relay to the radio remote turn on.

Connect pin 86 of the relay to ground.

Connect pin 30 of the relay to battery power.

Connect pin 87 of the relay to whatever you want on with the radio.

The relay isolates the radio from the load. You can connect whatever you want to pin 87 as long as you do not go over 30 amps. Even if you go over 30 amps, it will not hurt the radio, it will just damage the relay over time.

Yea, I had this thing wired for me when my dvd player was being installed.

I gotta take it back to the shop since he installed it and see what size fuse but more importantly where the fuse is for future reference.

I'm mainly using it to power 3 amps and an inverter.

Thanks guys for lettin me know.
