$300 to spend on a Head Unit

I want a 2 Din head unit

Bluetooth would be nice but not necessary. Must have aux in.

Nice large screen would be nice as well (touch screen? idk if they offer that in my price range)

Any recommendations???

alpine ida x100 or x300, any nakamichi if you can find one, i found a pioneer touchscreen for like 250 but its a pretty shitty headunit as far as THD and only having 2V pre outs

One reason I didn't go with a double din in my Honda is I found that there audio processing suffers for the room for all the other stuff in it. If I were you I would go with a alpine cda-9887. Also I don't think you are going to find a nice decent one for 300 dollars.

Youre not going to really find anything decent for 300.00 even used.I agree if you only have 300.00 and want SQ go with the 9887.

any idea what wholesale is on some of these parts? it might be worth my while if i can get wholesale from my uncle...the thing is i need the parts soon as i'm leaving for a trip in a week and have to have it installed as the car has no stereo now

I wanted a 2 DIN unit mainly for the full body look of a complete vehicle...i don't like when the car looks like it was added in afterward.

The dealer my uncle has connections with deals in Clarion, Infinity, JBL, Alpine, Kenwood,Kicker, Power Acoustik and more... anything i should look out for?

You aren't going to get a 7" touchscreen for $300 it's nice to dream tho.

I think i might go with the Alpine CDA-9887 unit that was recommended (if any1 knows of anything better than this i'm interested.)

What can i put in the Second DIN to have it look flush...i don't like the pocket that i see all the time

Eclipse has some nice units to look at as along with the 9887 Alpine.

If you had the money I would say go with an Audiocontrol DQS and DDC. Or there are tons of cheaper equalizers and such which are single DIN units.

Their 6 channel, 30 band per channel equalizer and a digital dash control for it. Otherwise, if you're using an amp for your speakers there are tons of other equalizers. Or for 70 bucks look up the VR3 VRHDUA-100. Just search ebay for VR3 HD and you should find it. It's a single DIN universal HD tuner.
