300.1 amp with a "12 sub???

i dont got a lot of money to start out with. so i was considering 2 10s with a JBL 600 amp but then thought why not 1 12 with a JBL 300.1 amp. those subs are Alpine Type Rs. do you guys think a jbl 300 amp can power a "12 alpine sub. thanks.

i say go for the JBL 600.1 and an RE SE. they had 600 rms. If u want the type R it will be powered perfect by a jbl 300. an SE would be much louder and much deeper and sound better though. http://www.respl.com 1 12" should be about 160+shipping
