This will not matter until the top brass changes the rules of engagement. We are so worried about what everyone else thinks that we tie the hands of the soldiers to effectively do their job. Collateral damage is a part of war. As crappy as that is, war is not pretty. If we fought WWII the way we fight now, we would still be fighting against the Germans and the Japanese.

Go in, kick ***, kill 'em wherever they are, show them that if they fuck with us they will get their ***** kicked and then get the hell out. I'd say bomb them back to the stone age but alas, they already live that way.

No lie man, we don't do war like the good ole days. Hell Japan was trying to surrender to the USA for months before we nuked the piss out of them. Generals back then wanted to send a message //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If by top brass you mean politicians, rather than military leaders, we agree. But I suspect you meant otherwise. And we are showing no signs of getting tougher on our enemies, we just voted in a new president who wants to sit down and negotiate with countries like Iran and North Korea.

But he has too, the media has always painted the prezzy as this guy who trys first then trys again. I would say bomb them to hell, send the bravo squad and end it

I'm not a military guy but I heard a retired colonel talking yesterday that when it comes to the rules of engagement, that has always been the pervue of the military brass, not the politicians. He was saying we need generals like MacArthur and Patton as since then, our generals have been too PC and wimpy. From what I understand, Vietnam was when we really started getting antsy about collateral damage. Since then, we seem to go out of our way to lose wars. If we are going to go in, go in with extreme prejudice, get the job done, kick some serious *** and get the hell out.

The way we are going about this current conflict, we are going to be there forever or we will ultimately lose a lot of good young men for nothing.

I thought you were gonna say bomb the hell out of it, and then send in the Brazo squad to do a 'Make Over, Iran Edition'. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

And no, the president doesnt have to talk out both sides of his mouth just because the fickle press wants to dictate American policy. A weak one does though. Maybe the cast of 'The View' should become Obama's new foreign policy advisors. Well, the black one the fat one and the gay one anyway.

that brought the lulz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It's easy for everyone to talk from the comfort of their homes. America is in a war that is ultimately impossible to win. You can't end terrorism. These people are crazy and have no regard for the human life. It's hard to defeat people who actually want to die. I have no idea how things got to be this bad but it's really sad that all these innocent people are dying for no reason.
