3" dash speakers

Is it worth it to just install the 3" dash speakers instead of component tweeters? Possible to turn down bass on 3" so just vocals come out?

i would be using those 3.5" speakers as my "tweeters". Would i be able to connect them to my Eclipse component set X-overs?
