Been thinking about my new setup in my upcoming new vehicle and considering the IXL 10 inch model.

Looking at the specs at the Mach 5 website, it appears to like a smaller, ported enclosure. .8 cu ft at 36 Hz.

I am thinking of doing 1 cu ft at 36 or 38 Hz and due to the small size of the enclosure port length starts to become a problem. Any thoughts on this driver in a 1 cu ft box using a 3 inch AeroPort?

Running some quick numbers in winISD it looks ok, but thought I would get some second thoughts.

I just used pvc pipe when I made my box (about .75) and used 2 3" piped the first time and it didn't sound very good. Remade the same box with a single 4" pipe and now it sounds great.

Just looked, the IXL 10 is no longer on M5's site... what gives Mark?
I am updating the info on the unit - taking a bit longer than usual unfortunately.

Thanks for asking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So your concern is that the port seems too small for 2 subs? The port parameters are there.
