3 JL w3v2's and 500/1 amp

i have 3 w3's and a JL 500/1 amp. i want to add another 8" or 10" sub in a stealth box between my seats. any suggestions on what type of sub i should get. i realllyyy dont feel like spending a lot. and would i have to get another amp to help power this? thanks for any feedback

what size w3v3's do you have?

either way i think that 500/1 is alright with those 3 speakers. you probably want to get another amp to drive the stealthbox, maybe a 300/2.

may i ask why you want a stealthbox though? why dont you just upgrade to 2 W6's with a 1000/1. you'd get all the *** kicking youre looking for and more.

Don't mix sub sizes. If you want another one then keep it in the same size enclosure as the rest or things just don't sound good. Hey, like stated above get 2 w6's. That would be awesome.

they're 8" w3v2's and i dont really want to upgrade to w6's because i spent a lot on a custom box for the 8's and they still sound pretty good... i have a four door f150 so there isnt a lot of room back there. thats why i like the stealth box idea. do you not think thats a good idea? thanks.

if youre looking for more output i recommend you get subwoofers with bigger cone surface, higher displacement and bigger motors. adding another 8" subwoofer may not give you the extra oomph youre looking for. And you could always sell the custom enclosure on the f150/ford truck forums (if there is any)
