3 audiobahn aulm 10's

i just got my 3 alums so i can get 1ohm load and i was thinking ported box but i know audiobahn subs box listings are conservative at best on teh website my last system i made my box 2x larger (2x 1200q's) than recomended and it was great should i do the same with the new alums.

I drive 94 lincolin town car so i have all the room i need

i plan on about 35 hz for tuning

i can do the math for the box plus port just wanted input on box size since im tuning kinda high i dont really wanna have problems bottoming out

the box will be approx 39 " long x 20" wide x 12" deep. theres a square hole in the trunk at about those dimentions that id like to fit the subs into.

i guess i could go higher on the frequency but i relize last time that i built a box that i bottomed out a bit too much.

Audiobahn site isnt working for me here at work. i blaim reader 4.0 that my work refuses to upgrade. besides the fact that i dunno wanna go stock size

Alums would like to be tuned to 38Hz, but 35HZ should be just fine. The box will be 1.75 without any displacements of the port or subwoofer displacement. For say your box would be 1.25 with port and sub. That is descent, I would say 1.5 per sub, but yours should be fairly loud, and sound quite good for Audiobahns. Any questions hit me Allchevys69!

now all i need is the port length ima try the math again and winisd ill get back if i have issues i did it manually last time but that was 2.5 years ago.

ok so im sitting with my box its 40 inches long using 3/4 mdf so that gives each speaker 12.33 inches

its 15.58 inches tall including 1 inch x 12.33 slot and again 3/4 mdf so 12.33 in effective for the sub

and its 19.5 inches deep thats 18 effective

after math i found that port should be 15 in long

that gives about 1.5 cubes each

what i wanna know is if i did that math right on the port length cause i was shooting for 35 give or take as many as 5 i dont care but what i wanna make sure is that im not like way off like 150 or something also i was wondering about port velocity i read some were about super skinny ports whistling.
