3 8's vs 2 10's ... which way do i go?

Do you already have the amp? A pair of these would work great for you
DCON-10 D4
Nope, no amp yet. I need to figure out my subwoofer situation first and then i will decide. A friend of mine told me to look into the Sundown SA-8's, so maybe i will look at the 10's as well. Audiobaun, like i said before, i'm not looking for loudness ... i just want to add nice deep bass. I did look at some Lanzar MAX 8's, they looked nice and were very cheap. They also seemed tio have good reviews. I don't need name brand stuff i don't and I care if it 100 watts or 1000 watts, as long as it sounds good.

Well, they can get loud if you put the power to them..just letting you know that they are great subs for the budget, and people seeing them wont touch them, thinking they are cheapies.not knowing they perform as well as alot of wanted name brands. They will sound just fine for you ,and they are CHEAP, and durable as well.Everyone wants the whats in brands, and trashes the others, but I say ..dont knock em till you try em:D.I recommend the Lanzar Max Pro 10s:imo:

With 600watts on tap I would go with 2 8's.. There are many nice 8's in the market to choose from. Plus you save alil space in ur trunk for ur daily needs. As far as SA's go they are a great driver "as u can tell by my sig below" but are not very efficient so 600watts is prob not enough. With such lil power you want something that's very efficient.

I def don't havean issue trying on off brand product. I have been giving som thought to the Lanzar MAX8 ... they cost less then $30 each, so whats the worst that can happen ... im out less than $100. I figured i would come on here and get some other opinions and ideas. The SSA DCON's look nice, so i may look into ehwm

The Max pros are prob decent but they seem to have a very high FS of 50. Which to some may not matter guess it depends on what you are wanting from the driver. I would also go out and say they are prob a tad bit overrated. Nonetheless they are 30 bucks so buy 1 and give us a review

I didn't even realize that ... I may just stay away from it. I also looked at the RE Audio REX8's. But the more i look at the SSA DCON 10's i think they might be the way i go. I may end up doing an 8 of some sort in my Subaru since i am more concerned about weight in it.

haha with the 8s you will have small consecutive booms lol with the 10s you will have bigger booms just not so quick after one another
You better be this stupid, rather than know better but are just trolling. Because, as we all know, trolling is against the rules in the tech section. So, are you suggesting you believe that statement to be true, or did you just intentionally break a rule here?

I'm sorry for being that stupid. I'll make sure I'm smarter the next time I post.

Instead, try following the rules and not post knowingly false info next time. People come here to get legit info, not smart ass answers they might very well take seriously. Thanks.
But, explain to me how my post doesn't make sense? It does seem kinda logical to me, or maybe I'm way off.

Speed of the 'booms' is a function of the frequency of the material being reproduced. A 60hz note means the sub will cycle 60 times per second. So if a larger sub produces 'slower' bass, this means its actually producing a completely different frequency than its being fed. Since we know this does not happen, 'slower' bass from larger subs is a misnomer.
