3 16Kv.2's vs 12W7

Advantages and disadvantages of each setup.

12W7 in ported box with 750W vs 3 16Kv'2 most likely sealed box with 450W to each sub.

Which has greater SPL? by how much

Which has greater SQ? by how much, etc etc

I have not heard the sq on either sub, so I wont comment on that. The surface area you have on the w7 wont be that close to that of the 3 16kv's. Also, you'll have appx 1350W compared to the 750w on the w7? My money is on the 3 16kv's.

yeah 16kv.2, cuz of the surface area, give eD a call they will design a ported box for ya, if u have enough room in your car

the w7 would sound really really good especially ported to say 30-32 hz but are these the ONLY two setups your willing to go with?

They are drastically different setups. You're comparing the top of the line 12" with 3 mediocre 15"s. The 15"s out displace the 12 by quite a bit. There is no replacement for displacement in an SPL context. The 12W7 will sound quite a bit better. I'm not sure what you're used to, but the 3 15"s should be very loud and would probly be a better setup for you....if you have the space.
