3 12's or just 2???

I have a ct sounds at2500.1 on pre order, my plan was to run 3 sundown sa-12's but I am interested in 2 sundown X12's

so my question is will 2 really awesome 12's be louder that 3 awesome 12's

Unless u plan on adding another 2500 the x.s would be a waste ...if u can fit 3sa12s in a proper custom box go for it ..but ive had a pair of sa12s on 2k before and it did 145s

And no unless u have a horrible box.for the sas the x.s will not.be louder on the same power 3 should be louder hands down ..do u have proper room for 3. 12s which would be 6cu ft or so

To my knowledge the x series are for low bass, if you want hard hitting and loud than go with the 3 sa 12's tuned right ...

I would do 4 sa 12s to be honest and then add another 2500 down the road..im not a fan of odd number setups

if it really does 3900 @14.4 that would be ideal..but maybe down the road add another 2500 ..leave urself headroom..the sa.s like aroind 1k to really shine

.but they will slam on ur amp trust me .make sure u get someone on here to design a custom box ..it will make the system
