This is the final dessision maker, lol. I'm still torn as to which way to go with this. 3 Sound Splinter RL-p 12" sealed @ 2.7ohms, or 3 Sound Splinter 12" RL-p ported @ 2ohm both off of a Sundown 3000. This will be done as a center counsole for my crew cab from back seat to the dash. Your thought?

Honestly, hard choice. I would suggest the 4 sealed due to the better frequency range, however, from owning a SS ported, I never had any issues with hitting notes, even tuned low, (28hz).

Id do the (3) ported, only thing is at 2 ohm, the 3000d is only putting out 1600w //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

That would be plenty for a pair, but seems short for 3 of them. I though you were going with (4) ported?

I really wanted to do all 4, I just can't squeeze the space. I was trying to trade off the 3000 two 1500. Without making the box so tall that I can't see over it, LOL. I just can't get the space needed for all 4. I know ported they can get very loud, and sound good doing it. I just don't know if the cone area of the extra 12" sealed would out do the 3 sealed.

Ah, I see. Well, I ran (4) 12s sealed, at some point, blew one of them, (prob from clipping, I use to be a little gain happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) and just had the three , (AA Assassins).

Didnt notice a huge gain with the 4th 12" (I was prob running just the 3 sealed for a while and didnt notice the difference), so I would suggest the (3) ported. Regardless, its going to sound good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, Soundsplinter FTW.

Ya I am leaning towards the 3 ported.

Ported tuned around 32hz, RL-Ps are great SQ/low note woofers. Idk how well they will do off only like 550 watts or so each, if u could find something that will do like 2000-2200 @ 2ohms that would be perfect.

ported any day of the week. double baffle the port, get 90 degree pieces cut for the port corners, and make sure its built right and itll sound like pure bliss
