3 12 or 2 18?

I have a 2001 toyota tundra ext cab.

I was wondering if 3 or 4 12" would be louder and lower than 2 18"?

If 18s would be lower and louder what kind do you suggest? Im on a budget..and dont want to spend a whole lot. so recommend some if you can.

I currently have 1 DC level 4 12" on a AP15000D

I dont think I could fit 4 18's in the back seat lol.

He meant two lvl 4 18's, I assume. 18's would have the a cone advantage. Beyond that, things get more complicated.

I dont want to spend over $400 on each sub.

If thats helps any

No more than 2 grand for subs and amps.

But i dont want expensive stuff if its cheaper thats what i would like

Thats not a bad budget...you have a decent selection of good 18's, especially if you get used
