How much power is safe to those?
And what is the safest power to FI SSD 18's?

A sundown SAZ1500 would be a very nice match for them I would say...and a good amount are for sale in the classifieds, I believe jacob is selling 8 of them iirc

Thats not a bad budget...you have a decent selection of good 18's, especially if you get used

you gotta think about his amp and electrical needs though.. the bigger his sub budget the lower his electrical

True but just a saz1500 wont be too hefty on electrical, just a little 1/0 gauge and probably a batt in the back and it'd be fine

Actually, an odd number of subs, if they are SVC, will create an odd impedance (ohm load), as he stated, and cause some complexity in matching up proper amplification that still gets full potential out of the amplifier. You might nnot call this 'hurting' anything, or may be referring to DVC subs which would multiply the coil quantity by 2, thereby making the number of coils even again, but the thought behind nickolas' post is quite correct.

True, but that doesnt mean it wouldn't work.

As for the 18's, 1000 wrms subs IMO. Shouldn't be too expensive.
