2x P1222 12'' with 2x JL Audio 1000w amp?

I was told by Car Toys that if i was getting two P1222 12'' RMS 400/1200max i should get two amps that are 1000w each at least. Since they are 400RMS wouldnt that kill the subs?

What am i looking at as far as wiring goes and should i get a second battery or should i just get those capacitors?

i ran a p1222 off a lanzar sl800d.. just because you have the power doesnt mean you have to use all of it... i would try to find a jbl 1200.1 to run the two of them.. give them 600 or so each that would be just about right...and save you some $
