2500d started blowin smoke..help

Well, i bought an orion 2500d from tweet02. I didnt install it till today, and when i did, it started blowin smoke out of the vents. I ran a distro block to the positive terminals and a distro block to the negative terminals. Turned the car on, started smellin it and i looked in my rearview mirror and i got some smoke pouring from my amp.. what could it be?

Have to open it up and look inside. Could be the power supply fets, the output fets, or transformer, hard to say.

well you said you didnt install it and then you did...and also did you have a subwoofer hooked up to it??

contact tweet02 definitely because it obviously got damaged in shipping...he shoulda had insurance right?
