I just bought a 2500D off a forum member.. got it today.. installed. Only installed one ground, one power.. not both.. All I did was an amp swap. From my 1000D memphis to the 2500D.. the only way I can here the MT over my stock 6.5's is if the gain is all the way up. I've adjusted/play with all the settings.. none of them change to much. I mean.. even with the gain all the way up.. sub doesn't even move up and down.. just kinda vibrates. The amp doesn't shut off or go into protect. My quesiton is.. do you HAVE to have both power/grounds hooked up?

I have a constant 14.4v volts.. no voltage drops or nothing. anyone know what good be wrong. Or bad amp? I haven't paid for the amp.. he ship first. Need some answers..

Yes use both power and ground terminals...

Edit...also what size wire do you have running to the amp. Im guessing since you did a direct swap out and 2500ds dont accept 1/0 you only have 4 gauge. If so you need to upgrade to 1/0 and then a distro block with 2 4 gauge wires going to their respective terminals on the amp.

Yes.. I have 4ga going to the amp.. both power and ground.. running off a Stinger SP1000.. 2/0 through out the car and big 3. Samething is happening.. any ideas/

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've double checked all wiring/settings.. everything.

Its getting power, its coming on.. its sending power to the sub. But unless gain is all the way up.. the sub wont do nothing.. even with the gain up.. it can't out do my 6.5's
