That alt dose fit a 98 Chevy!!! I have a AD244 alt on my 97 4.3l for nearly 2 years. You will just need a 1 inch longer belt as it's a bigger case.

i wouldnt doubt it would bolt right in, the problem lies in the connector .if its the wrong one then the alt is useless to the buyer
