VIDEO OF BENCH TEST ADDED

sooooooo here's the deal......got this off ebay and was gnna try and rig it into my vw golf...but after taking to a local company that specializes in custom alternator installations i found out basicly it will not work. and it'll be just as exspensive to put this in as it will tohave one custom built that will work...and if i ddo it myself it's gonna be waaaaaaay to hard and several this can and probly will go wrong (belt length, custom bracket not working, and the alt not being able to be activated).....so no go in the golf....

reason being this alternator (along with all newer gmc alts) has a pulse width induction system to activate it, as opposed to light induction which is what older alts use (which is this one was light induction, i coudl use it in mine).....this all has to do with the plug on the alt and it being able to activate the alt. so this alt will ONLY work for GMC's (which also includes chevy's and buicks, this one was originally for a chevy S-10).

so check the last picture and make sure ur OEM plug will fit this alt.

alt was tested and works fine as long as you have the proper car to put it in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

basicly im looking to get what i paid for it....so 200 shipped

200 for a 225 amp alt.......not too shabby ? BUY IT, so i can invest in one that will fit my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ive seen so many amps done this way over the years. Especially ones that had the Molex plugs and a couple others

This tested well on youtube - not familiar with the brand but it is a pretty standard china build house amplifier...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
