2200x2rms@.5ohms or 4400x1rms@1ohms

i have a hk-802sx, i have 4 L7 15s D2 and can wire 2 Parallel/Parallel for .5ohms witch the amp can do 2200wrms x 2 or i can leave the current way all 4 wired Series/Parallel @ 1ohm. i was wanting to try it at .5ohms but b4 i take all the subs out and rewire i thought id ask and see what ppls thoughts on this, pros or cons???.. any input would be great.

wire them to 1 ohm then bridge... and if your really brave try .25 bridged (yes, .175 on each channel) mine never went into protect and i did all kinds of crazy shit with it

But if that amp drops much below the 12volt range it will start on fire, or atleast go up in smoke!!

i think ill be a chicken shit and pass on the .25 i thought bout it. thinging that imp rise would put it over but dont want to use the 2 years i have on warrenty quite yet. thanks for the input thoe

i had mine in a pontiac bonnivile with the stock alt, stock bat, some cheap used wet cell batt in the back, and 1 run of 0/1 to the trunk

voltage dropped to low 11's high 10's

i know i gave the amp hell but it never went into protect on me once, thing was a tank

and to the op: i understand completely, if you dont wanna drop your amp that low i dont blame you... but just know if your ever trying to burp it or anything, the amp can take it imo...

i dont have an issue with voltage i have a mla module 15.8v and it drops as low as 15.2 to 14.9v at full tilt.. need more batts hope it will stay above 15.0 at all times
