21" Warden wall in 1990 Taurus

So, for my next system I am going with 2 21" Wardens and plan to run an SD12K (with external crossover). The amp could be debatable, however this isn't about the amp. I want to run at least 5k to each one.

I just need some help deciding how to design the wall. More specifically, how to design the port. Im not building an all out SPL system, but a groundpounder. So, as musical as 2 21" wardens will get. The car peaks at 35 hz with the subs in the trunk. However with a wall at the B-pillar the cabin will be less than half the size, so I am not sure how to consider tuning. I have about 14 cubes per sub to play with. What are you guys with wardens running for port size? And how does it sound?

So after sub/port displacement, bracing, etc. you are going to have two 21"s in ~11cu.ft.........fail.

Post a pic of this, cause i think you are a little off on your realistic and useable space. Is it a wagon?

I had actually calculated it out to 32 but I figure its probably more realistic at 28.

With 5k going to each one you will only need ~8 cuft per after all displacements.

Yep....Wardens are nice....but if your gonna run 5K daily each you better shrink that supposed 28 cubes down...lol

Well, thats fine, have no problem going with a smaller enclosure, I'm not claiming I may not have made an error in my calculations.

You can calculate all day, but you don't have that much(28-32cu.ft) buildable/useable space. A gross measurement is not a realistic representation of a finished enclosure. You lose way more than you think when you have to chop corners and slant panels to follow the vehicles interior contours. I looked at some pics online of these cars, 16-20cu.ft...........MAYBE. Which would be enough, for the subs..........so i retract my 1st post. As far as designs an ports, look at some youtube vids, you will see enough there to get an idea of what you want to try.
