Does anyone have any pointers in doing the big 3 Upgrade on my 2012 Malibu 4 cylinder?can't find the positive wire from the altinator to the battery

You dont need to find it. Just addon to whats already there meaning add wire on top of whats available.

Once you get a better idea of how it works then you can remove factory wires.

what about the battery current sensor on the negative wire?

1/0 cable fits thru the sensor so it should be no problem doing big 3, only issue is if you decide to go h/o alt then you will have to disconnect that sensor which will make the battery light go on and the pcm will still continue controlling voltage.
