Hey guys, im new to the forum and i'd like to introduce myself and try to get some advice/wisdom.
I have a 2010 Nissan Altima Sedan that im currently trying to upgrade the sound system. I installed a Kenwood radio. I have 2 12" subs in a ported box sitting in the trunk.
I'm very new to car audio. I've installed one HU my whole life and thats kind of what got me interested in installing car audio myself.
I'm doing a complete audio upgrade so i know i need 2 speakers for the rear deck, 4 speakers for each door, and 2 3.5" speakers for the dash.
For any Nissan owners out there, for the door speakers, what size speaker do i need? I've heard i need 5 1/4", i've also seen 6 1/2" as well. I know ill need an adapter for a certain size.
I've been on the fence about either going cheap and getting Kenwood speakers which match my HU and subs, or putting a fair amount of money into it and going Boston Acoustics.
Kenwood Options:
Kenwood-KFC-835C
3.5" Dash Speaker
Kenwood-KFC-1694PS
6.5" Door Speaker (Front and Rear)
Kenwood-Excelon-KFC-X693
6x9 Rear Deck Speaker
Boston Acoustics options:
Boston Acoustics S35 3.5" Dash Speaker
Boston Acoustics SC65 6.5" Door Speakers (Front and Rear)
Boston Acoustics SC95 6x9 Rear Deck Speakers
Can anyone confirm if these will fit? I know the 6x9 Rear Deck Speakers should work. Not sure about the 3.5" and 6.5" speakers.
Also, does anyone know anything about these?
KW Excelon KFC-X1730 6.5" Speaker (Door speakers)
I've seen places with advertise these as 6 3/4" and 6 1/2". Supposedly they can fit 6 1/2" brackets. If i can use these, it would be a miracle.
I know this is a lot to ask, i'm trying to do alot of research but im stuck at a fork in the road.
