2008 Tundra with stock stereo ...help!

The truck came with 12 speaker JBL and when I had the dash apart I couldnt figure out how to add an amp for a 12 inch woofer. Is there a kit etc?? Help!!

i have an 07 one and i have looked into it. there is nothing right now for these trucks. to run an amp you can just use an inline converter. may i ask, how did you get the dash apart?

I will buy te line out converter... but I need to figure out which are the rear speaker wires on the 12 speaker JBL system!

To take th dash out...man it was a pain to figure out. THe bottom area where the cig lighter is comes out first. I stuck a plastic tool in their and torqued out that piece first and then the middle pulls out and then you have 4 bolts to take out the stereo. I put a few little dents in my dash trying to figure it out!!!

there really not that bad to take apart..

if it's a jbl system you are going to want to pick up your speaker signal for the low line converter before the factory amp..

I figure I will tap in near the stock stereo but there are 30 wires leading from the deck. I have to figure out which are the rear speakers and tap into them. Just wish I could find a wiring diagram!

I went to BB to look at their converters and the installer told me to look into my JBL system as he says I may have a problem cuz of the stock amp??

Where would I put the converters? Near the stereo or after the stock amp?

Scosche has some adapters and dash kits for those trucks... they now have the JBL adapter...my Tacoma came with the JBL crap I ended up hardwiring my whole system....If you go that route...you are looking at a couple of hours of headaches...

When you say JBL crap did you mean the entire system? My JBL has 12 speakers and sounds pretty clean but I want more bass.

When you hard wired you still used the JBL speakers...?? I assume you traded out the head unit.....????
