2008 Nissan Altima Install pics!!!

Well this is my first ever doing it myslef install and so far I am happy. I got the bose system in the Altima and was not happy. Here is the equipment so far. Arc Audio Flatline 12, Rainbow Ipaul dm2000, REQ sound processor. I am wainting on the Ipaul 400.2 to come in and have no decided on components yet. I will update with the sound after install is finished all that is left now is req install.

Nice equipment. Way to many screws on the box. As far as components... what deck are you running? Have you thought about going active. $500 can buy some nice raw drivers.

I am running the stock unit it has way to many features like navigation and bluetooth and all, thats why I ran the req to clean up the sound from the unit. Ok I have never known this and not ahamed to admit it what is the difference between active and passive on the components?

Don't be afraid to ask questions, that's what a forum is for - the sharing and passing of car audio intellect (lol - well most forums).

Anyways, this thread should bring you up to speed on the differences between active and passive.

Yea I don't like the box to much its to small I am going to build a 1.75 at 32hz for it this weekend. I have to clean up the wires also but wanted to get it in and listen to it first.

Is that what is called for ported? I thought those subs preferred sealed boxes.

Yea thats what it calls for and I talked to a guy from arc he actually told me to build the sealed at 1.25 not the .9 they call for. It gets really really loud for being sealed .

Edit: Nevermind, didn't read everything.

For components, I personally like the sound of the Premier set(s). I forget the model number, but they have a yellow cone.
