2008 Impala Head Unit

Not sure if this goes here or in the Install help board but I am looking for some guidance on head unit fitment in a 2008 Impala.

The two units I'm looking at are:

Kenwood DPX502BT

Pioneer MVH-X690BS

Now sonicelectronix.com says they will fit but crutchfield.com says they will not.

Who do I trust?

If it's the same as the '06 Impala they should fit. The reason Crutchfield says they don't is because of it being a tight fit depth wise. In my '06 I installed a Pioneer AVH-2800BS. Crutchfield said it wouldn't fit, but Sonic assured me it would. It was tight getting the wires to fit properly behind it, but nothing crazy.
