2008 Honda Civic Hybrid Install

Well I'm a car nut and I don't talk down on cars...like I said fine he liked his Si ...but like I said if I wanted an SI or if wanted the Mugen Si they are selling now I could've bought one...They are nice..he should've started his own thread on his car if hes doing a build instead of putting down my hybrid......but I do like My Saleen better...I liked it better than the new M3 I drove...the new Corvette I drove...the new G35.....Porsche Cayman.....etc.....I liked my Saleen...Yeah I test drove several vehicles in the 35-$60,000 price range ...I like my Saleen so I bought it...It is only two years old and fully paid for...just like everything I own but the Hybrid.....

A few pages ago you had two cars not paid for.. what changes? making it up as we go along, are we?

That is odd that it only supports 1 pos/gnd. You'd think they would design it with at least 1 output for ease of installation.

Where in my statement did I say you couldn't afford it? I get the feeling you're trying to prove to us that you're wealthy, but you don't know the true definition of wealth is. There are people in the world who don't have a single car and you have 8! Something wrong with that picture? If you were truly wealthy, you'd only have one car and donate all that money that you seemly, "don't need" and give it some people who really need it.

I sent the payoff in on my 07 Focus ST last week....so now I only owe on my 08 Civic Hybrid....so a few weeks ago I did still owe on two vehicles...now I owe on only one....

Yes I found it very odd...It also is fused and has a built in volt meter...the instruction are very unclear...I bought it several months ago and decided to try it out on this install...I'll get a pic of the conection side soon....

most of the running gear is a standard 1.3 liter gas motor...It has a seperate motor that is charged through the main motor that runs off a high voltage battery pack...I'll be working off the standard gas motor...as seen in the photo a standard battery up front...I'm gonna try and upgrade the stock battery to two Batcap 800's...not sure on how to accomplish the big 3 at the moment...I'll have to study the engine compartment more...to see if it is possible...I know the stock 8ga ground can be updated easily....

Since this is a SQ install ...I have two sets of RF directional RCA's I'll be running down the passenger side...most likely this week...coming up...I may pull a cheaper RCA for rear fill just in case I decide to add a small amp in the future...but it is doubtful of that...unless I decide to play more with the 5.1 effects of the receiver....

IMO i think you'll ruin that car with a 2,000 watt system. tooo much electrical shit on it. I dont know much about the hybrids, but it seems like a lot of harm will be done with voltage going up and down a lot more than it would stock. but what do i know

btw, 2,000 watts is not typically a "small" or "SQ" system. 500w-1000w to your sub(s) should be plenty enough.

I may go a little less on power...I was thinking my TRU Technologies Hammer on my Critical Mass UL 12...and using my two Zed made Planet Audio tube amps....or Stagger the power of my 6 ch ADS PowerPlate PH15 100 x2 on the mids and 50x2 on the highs.....since I was rounding off 1500 on the sub...I rough estimated about 500 on the front stage...though it may be less....I have a possible buyer of my UL12 so if it sells...I'll do something different on the substage...
