Sirius or XM worth it??

Any opinions on which is better ? Is it worth the cost? Is direct wired into the unit better than letting it broadcast over the air to an FM station?Thanks

I love the xm in my work truck.. My HU I just bought though comes with a sirius tuner so I will be trying that out also.. I think they merged though so is programming still different?

in my focus (toy car) its wired in. in my Rogue (daily driver) it's built into the factory head unit

I had Sirius several years ago. Really like it. Of course, I mostly listened to talk shows. But the music stations are not half bad.

I had XM in my 2007 Accord and I liked the variety until I connected my iPod adapter.... Then I rarely found myself listening to XM because I found the quality of the music to vary greatly on the same station. Yea, I noticed that to with sirius. Music didn't sound anywere near as good as a cd. That's another reason I stuck to talk radio.

I thought the music on satellite radio was supposed to be really clear?Same or better than CD quality? Is that just a sales pitch?

i had sirius for a few years but when they merged most of the channels last year i cancelled. i only listened to a handful of the stations and most of them were replaced with the xm version that i didn't care for. stern is good, but he ain't worth $13 a month. another thing that pissed me off was the fact that you have to pay extra now for the specialty stations that one side offers. for example, if you have sirius and want to listen to nba games, nhl games, mlb games, etc that were all part of xm you have to pay an extra $4 per month. if it's one big company now why can't they just give you all the channels?

as far as sq, i had a portable unit using the sirius hardwired fm modulator. the sq was lightyears better than the built-in wireless transmitter but less than normal fm radio. all the newer portable models have crappy fm transmitters. a few years back the fcc said that the older ones were too powerful and made them dumb-down the quality.

I have XM and wouldn't know what to do without it now. Have had it for ~3 years now. Beats the hell out of regular radio.

I havent listen to any Sirius station. But we Have XM at this shop I work at. They listen to two station all days long and They both **** Balls. I hate XM all they do is play the same **** 10 sons all day long in a loop.
